Waters Edge Elim Church
“To know God, and to make him known”

Our Service Times Sunday 10:30 am

Speaker for this Sunday Pastor Steve Sheppard on ‘Rumours of War’ 10:30 am Douglas Road, Parkstone, Poole, Dorset, BH12 2AU

WE ARE SO LOOKING FORWARD TO MEETING YOU AT THE WATER’S EDGE

Our History

Pastor Steve and his wife Lizzie Sheppard started meeting together around 24 years ago with a congregation of just seven adults and three children, with a passion for the lost and love of God for this nation and their local community of Poole.

From the beginning of the launch of the Waters Edge Elim Church in December 2001, we have been missional in our outlook. For 12 years we supported the homeless on the streets of Poole serving food and providing a haircut and clothes when needed. Our love for the nations has allowed the church to reach out and support the orphanages of Ukraine, the rehab centers of Siberia, the Gypsy communities of Bulgaria and the Ukraine, the Churches and children of Estonia and the feeding of rural communities during the Covid lockdown in Uganda. Pastor Steve has also ministered and preached the gospel in over 12 Nations.

In October 2006 God provided a home for us. When we came to this small Pentecostal Chapel, which was built on the 10th August 1922, there was a struggling congregation of around 12 people who were facing the closure of their building. They were praying and crying out to the Heavenly Father for help.

The bringing of the two congregations together was the beginning of an amazing journey. The chapel became alive again.

On the 6th October 2006 Pastor Steve Sheppard made this statement.

"The significant thing is that this old church was birthed in an apostolic way with a miracle of healing. It was a church that planted other churches in the local area. This little old brick chapel has had moments in its history where God's presence has literally shaken the building. God is bringing life back into a work that was facing closure.”

On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.  Revelation 22:2
